Policy support

The implementation of a coherent approach to education and training in nuclear science and technology becomes crucial in a world of dynamic markets and increasing workers’ mobility. Through networking and participation in international programmes, the SCK•CEN Academy contributes to a better harmonisation of education, training practice and skills recognition on a national and international level.

We coordinate the series of ENETRAP projects (ENETRAP, ENETRAP II, ENETRAP III), and are partner in for example TRASNUSAFE, ENEN III, ECNET, ENEN-RU, GENTLE, PETRUS III, MINDNUGENIA, PREPAREOPERRA and ANNETTE.

Furthermore, the Academy is represented in the board of the EUTERP foundation, in the IAEA Steering Committee for education and training in radiation, transport and waste safety, and in many other technical and advisory meetings.

In addition, the SCK•CEN Academy takes the lead in the organisation of conferences and workshops dealing with education and training in nuclear science and technology, like the ETRAP conferences series and our SCK•CEN topical days.
