Introduction

An new Tripple Quad ICPMS can deliver in principle the possibility to analyse difficult to measure nuclides, such as Al, Fe and Ca. Normally a higher sensitivity can be reached. However depending on the concentration level, the matrix and the presence of nuclides method development is still needed. The research focus on comparing the results obtained on two different instruments, investigate the matrix effects and finding one or more solutions to determine in a precise and accurate way specific nuclides. These method development and analysis are crucial in different applications such as follow up of nuclear waste storage, screening of contaminants for radiopharmaceuticals, ... . In coopeartion with the ICP-MS team new methods will be looked at.
