Bachelor and master students can make use of SCK•CEN’s expertise and facilities to prepare their thesis. During a certain period of time the students are working in SCK•CEN’s laboratories, under supervision of one of our experts. This mentor is responsible for the student during his or her stay at SCK•CEN.
The thesis should be approved by the SCK•CEN mentor before publication. It should mention our logo and the name of the mentor.
How to apply ?
A list with available topics is continuously updated on this website. Applications should be submitted using the “apply here” button that is foreseen at the bottom of each topic description. Please note that your application will only be considered when we have received all necessary information via our web-based application system.
Approval of your request will be subject to the evaluation of your application file by the SCK•CEN Academy and the SCK•CEN mentor. You will be informed about the status of your application via e-mail.
Although most topics are focusing on nuclear science and technology, students with other backgrounds or qualifications can also find thesis topics under, for example, the themes “ICT” or “Office management, economics and law”.
